![]() ![]() This place is massive! I was told there is a combined 80 acres of indoor and outdoor space dedicated to aircrafts and more. ![]() To sum it up, this is not a site I will buy souvenirs from though I give it 5 stars because everyone involved has done a good job and I did not have a bad experience. That being said, the staff were knowledgeable and very friendly, the grounds were well kept, the bathrooms were clean, there were plenty of picnic benches, I am not handicap but the area and landscape seemed fairly accessible, the museum was informative and the video was surprisingly good - a lot of national sites I've been to the video is very outdated and boring. I've been to several other National Sites for free that had more interesting things happening. Had I not had the annual national parks pass, I would have been slightly disappointed in the experience I had with a $10 entrance fee which can easily add up with a small family and also going out of my way to make this trip this far South in Arizona. I will say however that it wasn't the most exciting experience to me compared to other National Sites, I felt it lacked things to do that was going to make for a memorable experience. This site was a new experience for me and it was nice to educate myself on the time period and everything that happened at this site. I heard from a friend that there is an easier alternate trail in order to get to the overlook point that doesn't involve the steep climb of the mountain.maybe we will try to look for that trail on a different visit. You will be hungry and thirsty by the time that you reach the top. If you are hiking around lunch time or hiking all the way to the overlook point, then I recommend packing a small lunch, especially if you climbed the steep mountain like we did. It is definitely worth seeing.a very beautiful hiking place and trails with plenty of deer, squirrels, butterflies, and birds to see. Most of the trail is well-shaded so hats aren't necessary to wear. Fortunately, we didn't have to use any bug spray. I did remember to pack my smartphone, beverages, hats, training pants, and bug spray. In the future, I will remember to bring an extra outfit and snacks in a small backpack for my little one for future hikes. I had extra clothes, but they were in my car, which is why we stopped the hike and returned back to the car. ![]() We managed to climb halfway up before my little one had a potty accident. We were unable to hike all of the way to the overlook point since I wasn't fully prepared with my small hiking backpack. My toddler and I really enjoyed the peaceful nature walk to the Sycamore point, followed by the steep climb to the top. There were plenty of walking sticks available to use at the visitor center. Staff was friendly and admission was $5 for adults and free for kids. ![]() I decided to take my little one on a hike this afternoon. Overall, very fun and highly recommended. Prices inside the gift shop are on par with most everything else in Tombstone, though they do also have some exclusive merchandise being that they're the actual O.K. Also, for fans of the movie (which I'd assume most everyone visiting Tombstone to begin with probably are), there are some props inside the store to read up on and admire. The staff inside the store are fun to talk with and very nice. Pictures with the actors are welcomed after the show which always makes the little kids go crazy. The gun fight is about 20 - 30 minutes and very entertaining, audience participation is encouraged like applauding the deputies and booing the cowboys for an added comical touch and they all have fun with it. Go early that way you don't miss the show, as they are known to sell out especially during peak seasons and weekends. There are a few areas in Tombstone to see staged gun fights, but this one is by far the most recommended based on the fact that it's the OG and happens at the actual O.K. It's free to go inside the main shop but you have to pay $10 per person to explore the back courtyard and stables and the main draw: the staged gun fight. Our commitment is to keep your possessions safe, secure and always available.Tombstone is known for this very spot, so it's obviously a must if you come to Tombstone.
